At Redstone Children's Academy, we believe that healthy eating habits are an essential part of a child's development. Not only does proper nutrition provide the energy our little rangers need to explore, play, and learn, but it also lays the foundation for a healthy lifestyle they can carry with them throughout their lives.
That's why we take great care in crafting nutritious and delicious meals and snacks that are packed with wholesome ingredients. We strive to create a balanced menu that introduces children to a variety of flavors and textures, all while ensuring they receive the vitamins and minerals needed to thrive. However, we also understand that sometimes, a special afternoon treat or a fun activity in the kitchen is just what the doctor ordered (well, maybe not literally, but you get the idea!).

Today, we're excited to share a recipe that perfectly blends both worlds: one of our all-time favorites- Chewy Oatmeal Cookies! These cookies are not only a delightful after-school snack or anytime pick-me-up, but they're also packed with goodness. Oats and fresh-milled whole wheat flour provide a healthy dose of fiber, while the delightful sweetness comes from a combination of raw sugar and molasses. Plus, these cookies are easy enough to make with little hands, making them a fantastic activity for a rainy day or a way to get the kids involved in the kitchen and learn valuable skills like measuring, mixing, and following instructions.
So, gather your little helpers, preheat the oven, and get ready to bake up a batch of delicious and healthy fun!
