Washing Hands

At Redstone Children's Academy, the security and wellness of children entrusted in our care is our highest priority. We hold ourselves to high standards of safety and cleanliness while maintaining a caring and nurturing environment where children can thrive. Listed below are just some of the measures we have in place to ensure your children grow and learn in the safest environment possible.

Washing Hands

RCA goes above and beyond to ensure all health and wellness protocols are strictly enforced. Our measures include:

  • Disinfecting classrooms, equipment, and toys multiple times each day using non-toxic cleaners.

  • Following the recommendations of the World Health Organization, Public Health Departments, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Childcare Licensing, and state/local officials.

  • Teaching and observing proper hand washing techniques.

  • Preparing all food away from the classrooms in our commercial-grade kitchen.

  • Wearing disposable gloves to prevent the spread of germs when preparing food and while attending to the sanitary needs of children.

  • Daily laundering of crib sheets for infants; for older children, individual cots and blankets are provided for each child and laundered weekly with non-toxic detergent.

  • Requiring any children or staff with respiratory illness symptoms or fever to return home and stay home until fever free for at least 24 hours.

  • Implementing ongoing health & disease-prevention training.

At Redstone Children's Academy, your child’s safety is our top priority. We incorporate multiple safety features into our facility including:

  • Training all staff in CPR & First Aid.

  • Strict background checks on all staff and volunteers.

  • School buses with seat belts, alarms, safety procedures, and certified bus drivers.

  • Secured entrances with restricted visitor access.

  • Touchscreen monitors in the lobby for self check-in and check-out.

  • Security cameras that are continuously monitored by staff.

  • Emergency and Inclement Weather Preparedness Plan.

  • Practicing fire and emergency safety protocols

  • Following Safe Sleep guidelines.

  • Inspecting playgrounds and classrooms daily for safety hazards and equipment in need of repair.
