A LETTER FROM OUR DIRECTOR

Dear RCA Parents,

As the leaves begin to change and the air grows crisp, we're excited to welcome the month of October with a "Orchard Harvest" theme at Redstone Children's Academy! This month, we'll be celebrating the beauty of autumn and fostering a sense of community.

To kick off the season, we'll be hosting a Blanket Drive throughout the month. We invite you to donate new, unused blankets, which will be donated to Free Haven Outreach, a local ministry that serves the homeless and low-income families in our community. Your generosity will help them provide warmth during the upcoming colder months.

We'll also be celebrating National Book Character Day on October 31st! We encourage your child to dress up as their favorite book character and bring the book to share with their class. It's a wonderful opportunity to foster a love of reading and spark imaginative play.

We have many exciting activities planned throughout the month, including:

  • Fall-themed crafts and activities

  • Nature walks and leaf collecting

  • Storytime with autumn-inspired books

  • Delicious seasonal snacks and treats

We can't wait to share these special moments with your child. Thank you for your continued support and for making RCA such a wonderful place to learn and grow. If RCA has made a positive impact in your child's life, I would like to invite you to please leave us a review on Google. This helps us get the word out to the community about the great things happening here!

this month's theme:

This month, science comes to life as your child explores the wonder of orchards! Our infant and toddler classrooms embark on a delightful journey through the world of trees and leaves with a new book each week and exciting activities each day. They will explore the different types of trees, observe their changing leaves, and learn about the importance of trees in our environment. Through hands-on activities, songs, and stories, our little ones will develop a love for nature and a deeper understanding of the fascinating world around them.

Our preschool classroom will get to know the parts of a tree and investigate the fruit and seeds that grow from them. They will identify the animals that call an orchard home, sneak like a raccoon and polka with a porcupine. Get ready for an exciting month of peeling bananas, mashing avocados, painting with a pokey chestnut and cracking a bumpy walnut. View our monthly scope below to see what our preschool classroom will be focusing on each day this month:

BIBLicAL FOCUS

This month, we’re focusing on the beautiful fruits of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Our memory verse is, “A tree is known by its fruit. If a tree is good, its fruit will be good. If a tree is bad, its fruit will be bad.” (Matthew 12:33)
